William Thorpe - Thorpe Music Publishing Company, USA



		Thorpe Music Publishing Company was founded in 1992 to publish quality choral, vocal and keyboard music. Its founder, William Thorpe, earned a B.Mus. degree in piano performance from The Boston Conservatory and a M.M. degree in vocal performance from New England Conservatory, where he sang major roles with the college's opera department and was soloist with the NEC Chorus and Schola Cantorum. During and following his graduate studies, he appeared as baritone soloist with opera companies, choruses, and orchestras in the Boston and New England area. Additional studies were at the Philadelphia Musical Academy and the Institute of Voice in Lichtenburg, Germany. While maintaining an active career as a professional singer on the roster of American Artists Management of New York, Thorpe entered into the music publishing industry, working closely with composers like Randall Thompson, Daniel Pinkham, Ned Rorem, Conrad Susa and Libby Larsen, culminating with the establishment of this firm. In a totally different facet of the performing arts, he has appeared in speaking roles in major films and television working with Academy Award winners Clint Eastwood, Sean Penn, Mel Gibson, Jennifer Lawrence, Sissy Specek, and Frances McDormand, as well as with Larry David, David O. Russell, and Aerosmith film director Casey Patrick Tebo.
